Our Experience Sponsoring CMLS 2025 and the International MLS Forum in Toronto

Last week, our team had the chance to sponsor two of the most important real estate industry events of the year: CMLS Open House 2025 and the International MLS Forum. Both were held back-to-back at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, bringing together MLS® executives, association leaders, technology partners, and innovators from around the world.

It was a week full of learning, connections, and fun. From thought-provoking sessions to great conversations at our booth (and yes, our custom mini hockey sticks were a hit 🏒 🇨🇦), we left feeling energized about the future of real estate data.

Why These Events Matter for the Real Estate Industry

CMLS Open House is where the MLS® community across North America gathers to share knowledge, talk about governance, and explore ways MLS® systems can continue supporting brokers, agents, and consumers.

Immediately following, the International MLS Forum added a global perspective. This forum brought international leaders together to discuss real estate data standards, interoperability, and collaboration across markets.

Together, these events highlight how important MLS® organizations are in shaping the future of real estate technology. For our team, being there gave us the opportunity to hear directly from those leading the industry and to share in conversations about where things are heading next.

Highlights From Toronto

The sessions across both events covered a wide range of topics, but a few themes stood out for us:

  • AI and MLS® operations: exploring how automation is helping MLS® systems streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Data standards and interoperability: the importance of making real estate data more consistent and easier to access.
  • Governance and trust: ensuring MLS® systems remain reliable, secure, and valuable to the professionals who depend on them.
  • Global perspectives: how different markets are approaching MLS® models and the role of standards in connecting them.

Beyond the sessions, some of the most valuable moments came from the one-on-one conversations at our booth. We had the chance to talk with MLS® executives, brokers, developers, and technology companies about the challenges they face and the opportunities ahead. These conversations are already continuing in follow-up meetings, and we’re excited about what’s to come.

And of course, we can’t forget about the hockey sticks. As a Canadian-based team, it was only fitting to bring a little local flair to the event. Our branded mini hockey sticks were a fun way to spark conversation and give attendees something memorable to take home.

What We Took Away

Attending CMLS and the International MLS Forum reminded us of just how much energy and innovation is happening in the MLS® and real estate data space right now.

A few takeaways stood out to us:

  • MLS® organizations remain the foundation of real estate in North America, and their influence is expanding globally.
  • Standards and interoperability are becoming increasingly important as markets look for ways to connect.
  • Collaboration is key. From local boards to international groups, working together is how the industry will continue to grow.
  • Real estate technology is moving quickly, and the companies that simplify data access will help drive the next wave of innovation.

For us, these takeaways tie directly back to our mission. We believe real estate data should be easy to work with, and our platform helps teams launch products faster by removing the complexity of MLS® integration.

Looking Ahead

We left inspired and motivated to keep building. The conversations we had and the sessions we attended confirmed what we already know: the future of real estate technology depends on simple, reliable access to MLS® data.

Our focus moving forward is clear. We’re continuing to expand our platform, support more markets, and create tools that make working with real estate data easier than ever before. We’re also looking forward to collaborating with the people and organizations we connected with at CMLS and the International MLS Forum.

The events in Toronto were a reminder of how much can be achieved when the industry comes together. We’re proud to be part of that momentum and excited for what’s ahead.
